I know it is shopped. This is a dead giveaway. When an X-Wing lands the S-Foils are NOT in attack position! The wings are together!

It was an emergency landing. Duh.

But it has been doctored. Notice the white socks on the crewman closest to the fuselage? He has on white socks. White socks weren't even invented until 1962 much less a part of the standard navy uniform in WWII.

I marvel at teh pics but would appreciate a caption to know what the heck I'm looking at, photoshopped or not.

I can't tell if something is going drastically wrong or if it's just something cool to generate a phoenix smoke trail ...

yeah, but in the foursome photo you posted... the P-51 is far and way the prettiest.
