so pardon me if I take the word of the people who're dealing with the costs of the boycott

Sigh...So would if they would identify themselves.

I'm sure the Chamber of Commerce can prove their figures.

No deflection detected.

Sure there is. I provided two different news stories from two different sources detailing the severity of the economic repercussions AZ is feeling because of its racist, illegal anti-immigrant law. Attempting to ignore the facts because the sources in one story weren't identified is deflection, pure and simple.

The "expert" in the second article was named, and said the boycott is having the same effect. Where's your deflection now?

I bet you missed the part, too, where AZ has pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into a PR blitz trying to pretend their is no economic impact. That the infamous liars at the Chamber of Commerce have their hands in it, too... did you miss that part as well?

We already know that Faux "News" is demonstrably the least trustworthy media blot out there, so pardon me if I take the word of the people who're dealing with the costs of the boycott and not that of those whose mission is to deny those costs.

Your post quoted my article which proved that the cancellation of "conventions" hasn't hurt the hotel and tourism industry one bit. Hotels like conventions because they're easy. Tourists hate conventions because they can't ever get a room in a hotel they want. Arizona is so popular as a tourist attraction that either you can fill the rooms with discounted conventions or fill them with undiscounted tourists who by the way spend more money than tight ass business people on expense accounts.

You should just stay away from all things ... business and economic.

I'm sure the Chamber of Commerce can prove their figures.

I'm sure they can cherry-pick them to prove the Earth is flat, too. They've been lying their asses off for years now about energy reform, insurance reform, and financial reform, so it doesn't take a genius to suspect they're lying about something they've been paid to lie about.

And again: the spokesperson was clearly identified in the KGUN9-TV article I posted. The fact that the quotes weren't attributed in the EarthTimes article is meaningless: we don't know if that was decided on by the source, the reporter, or the editor. Since it makes no difference in what was said -- as confirmed by the second article I provided -- your attempt to make it do so is nothing more than deflection on your part.

AZ is taking a major economic hit as a direct result of passing an illegal, racist law, and that's that. No spin is going to undo that fact.

Remember, this is the state that lost about $300 million as a result of the boycott against them when they refused to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

A spokesman for the Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association told the Phoenix-based Arizona Republic, the state's largest newspaper,

You could have been, except you said you didn't know anything about it.

Let's go slowly, 'cause I don't want you to be all confused.

    • The CoC is a demonstrable liar, as I both stated and documented.

    • This increases the likelihood that a local chapter is also prone to lying, especially when it is in their economic interest to lie.

Got it?
